The Government of India, through the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Development and Welfare Board for De-notified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Communities (DWBDNC), has launched the SEED (Scheme for Economic Empowerment of DNTs) initiative to empower students from marginalized communities. Under this scheme, eligible students from De-notified Tribes (DNTs), Nomadic Tribes (NTs), and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (SNTs) can avail free coaching for competitive examinations along with financial support and stipends.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply under this scheme, students must meet the following conditions:

  • Must belong to DNT, NT, or SNT communities (as per official list).
  • Should have passed Class 12 or be currently enrolled in Class 12.
  • Preparing for one of the eligible competitive exams.
  • Annual family income ≤ ₹8,00,000.
  • Must not be receiving similar benefits from any other government scheme.
  • Valid DNT/NT/SNT or caste certificate issued by competent authority.
  • Meet the minimum marks requirement as per exam guidelines.
  • A student can avail benefits only twice under this scheme.
  • Enrolment is allowed in any coaching institute (online or offline).
  • No application fee is required.
